The Illustris Project
The Illustris project consisits of very large cosmologocal hydrodynamical simulations of galaxy formation. To date the Illustris simulation is the largest simulation of its kind ever performed. This simulation predicts a galaxy population which is in remarkable agreement with the observed galaxy population in the local and distant universe.
